Wants Me Away
She wants me to be with my friends,
When I want so badly to be with her,
I thought she liked when we sat for lunch,
The few minutes we got together,
But she wants to be different without me,
She wants to brag about me and get advice about me,
To talk to her friends about their interests in guys,
I'm probably in the wrong,
But it breaks my heart,
To know she wants to be somebody else without me around,
When I give so much,
It feels like she wants me away.
You can say you want to spend time away from me without trying to paint it as how I should be with my friends

July 14th
Can we be together,
On July 14th?
At the perfect palace park,
In some kingdom far away.
Six years from now,
We'll be in Boston,
Strolling down the shores.
Hand in hand,
I'll trace my finger over the ring,
I placed on yours.
Together forever,
Separated never,
The same word,
Written in different fonts.
I never want to be without her
The lonely liar, in search of a lair to lay,
Stumbled into a fancy French place,
Somberly he sat at the bar of burdens,
As he asked the witty waiter for something he'd never had,
Cautiously the character considered,
Then after a monumental moment of thought,
Brought out a blue bottle of *****,
Precisely pouring a pint,
Laying it in the hands of the lustful liar,
"What is this?" He wondered,
"This," the tender told, "Is a liquor called Love."
Just missed tongue twister Tuesday
Human beings,
Akin closest to the creatures of the void,
As we consume.
Dictates of wrath falling from our hands,
Onto tablets of conversational truth.

I am conscious,
I think and do,
Still I consume too.

Leeching off the fuel writing gives me,
I run, an engine breaking through rocky walls,
Testing the boundaries of inspirational energy.
Aching with the feeling of being restrained,
Tortured by carrying,
Some few echoes of truth.
Living life is a painting scheme,
Creating colors to cover up the blanks,
Trying our best to break away.
We re-saturate,
The bleak shades of our face,
Replacing something organic,
With chemical compounds.
Suddenly evolving beyond natural gleam,
Distorting to fit twisted cookie cutter shapes,
We execute the order,
Of this lustful modern god.
There was beauty in the earthen iron's shape,
Forgotten glory, bent to grim reality,
Turning away from standing in the looking glass,
Becoming indistinguishable again.
Just because something is unique doesn't make it immortal,
A new idea that becomes a good idea turns to a common idea repeated and dried.

The Heat
The heat is irritating,
So never argue under a blistering sun,
Though you shouldn’t wait until streets are iced over,
Rage will freeze into cold, logical things.
Tear water freezing in between,
In the kind of way that makes you miss the rain,
The steam rolling off an anguished face.
When there was heat and humidity,
But no rainbow,
A little too much of something broke the recipe.
It’s hitting 100 degrees in Rochester today, pieces of me are melting.

Losing Sleep
Occasionally I struggle to write,
Eyes glazed over late at night,
Drinking ink instead of ****** wine,
Breathing in antique paper smoke.
Chewing on pen tips,
One slips, I cut my gum,
Tell the dentist it's a canker sore.

My soul whines for true release,
For me to free myself from the foolish games we play,
But instead, me and Spotify play the polo,
The Gentleman's shuffling game.
So the night wears on,
I udder not a single yawn,
Lost in dark times,
People say they're scared for me.

Drown Me
I am left yearning to drown,
When smothered in your love.
Breath, breath is optional,
I live off of your love.

Addiction, obsession, craving,
Need, you are need,
So I repeat the same words back to you,
Drown me.
Somewhere in the evergreens,
Smoke stacks rise above the trees,
Peaking amongst the clouds,
As light rain sprinkles the grounds.
We lay softly asleep,
Far off from the wooded cove,
My arms around your resting form,
Breathing lightly,
To ensure you sleep well.

The Big Bang Remains
Ancient empires echo hear,
In deep space,
The sounds of far history,
Bleeds in near.

Energy traces from long ago,
Microwaves left from genesis,
Far in the star sea lies a trail to God,
Or an omen of future death.
In space we can still record ancient microwaves left from the big bang, they seeming warp and corrode time. They may even be the final resource we to achieve time travel!

The Widow's Chant
Come and weep,
Silently, tears will guide you to sleep,
As your lover comes to know,
The grave of water's undertow.
Another claimed,
In the name of explorer's fame,
A name, that once you pass on,
Will be all but gone.
Not a soul has ever carried it as close,
As you have for so long.

Don't be foolish,
Staring at the sea,
He is truly gone,

Even when the fleet comes rolling in,
You won't have that kiss at dawn,
He promised you as he left.
So hang your lonesome head,
The worst is yet to come,
Fill his grave with sea things,
It's all that's left of him anymore.
Your life together,
Now ancient lore,
Lock it up,
Before you wake up.
The black-sea boneyard
No one lives on the black sand shore,
Not a soul makes home there anymore.
For there is no peace,
In the land of coal dust.
Evil seeps even into the ocean,
Where 'Purity' once harbored.
What still stands,
Is the gastral rocks gutting through the banks,
Constructing spires to hide,
A skeleton ship parked in ruins of the beachside.
The old SS Purity,
Sent to save those on lonely shores,
From the devil and his kin.
Though now it's the Devil's flag, that hangs half mast,
On the poles of purity.
Don't come too close my boy,
They say it draws you in with soulless cries,

Once you're in the belly of the beast,
There's no hope of escape,
Don't repeat my old sailor's fate
Another sea story, they're too mystical to not write.

I'm Sorry
It's that Friday The 13th kind of thing,
When every thing's so good,
You just know something is gonna stab through.

I didn't want to make you feel this way,
I wasn't ignoring you.
It just took me a second to respond.

You will always be number one,
I understand my fault here,
Keeping my phone on ringer,
So I never take more than three minutes to answer you.
It's not bad luck it's me

We Pray In The Garden
We pray in the garden,
For peace to take the ache away.
We pray in the garden,
For the light of God,
To guide us to better days.
We pray in the garden,
Guardian sanctum of our hope.

Classical Garage Band
Sometimes it's the irony,
Of a garage band,
Full of classical instruments.

Such beautiful music,
Played in such an informal way.

But you'll still replay the tape,
Whether or not you like rock,
Because your lover,
Is first chair violin.

Catalyst
Sometimes I tend to be a catalyst,
Carrying things to light,
Rooting them deep where they belong.

Nothing bad,
It's what I do,
I'm proud to ferry,
The things they carry.

The Burden Sails Away
They call the ship 'Burden,'
An indestructible vessel,
Rival to the monsters of the sea.
It's exactly what the people needed,
For you see,
In the depths lurked a beast.
Eighty tentacles, four trade ships tall and wide,
A hundred-thirty teeth when it's smile lied.
They called it, "Kraken."
It was nothing of the likes you've seen,
Emperor of the dark sea.

The Burden could hold fifteen hundred men,
Arming harpoons, cannons, muskets, wit.
The king ordered them to turn the seas red with gore,
Call forth the Kraken,
Strike it dead.
Then to the king,
They would drag back it's head.

So come high-noon,
The ship was in place,
Above the deepest of sea caves.
Letting forth crates of bait,
Staining the waters of the sea,
Until the sailors heard a rumble,
Shake the Burden's iron shell.

Up from the waters came long river's hell,
Tentacles like spires towering well beyond the sails.
But the crew held steady,
"Tighten the ropes, arm our cannons,"
Cried the captain,
"Then fire!"
The seas filled with blood,
The sky filled with gunpowder, fractured shells,
A shriek rang out from the deeps.
The cry of death,
From the Kraken itself.
Tentacles sinking away,
"The head!" Cried the captian,
So Lutenent Lucus dived after the creature.

Tied by a rope,
Pike in hand,
The creature's head,
He began to drag.
Though, glancing over his shoulder,
Through the murk he could see,
The form of a woman swimming away.
Some curse broken, he decided,
A soul freed from grim reality.

Peace.
I love a good sea fairing story!
The real question may not be,
"Who's good and who's bad?"
It may be,

Who's trying to save the world,
Who's mislead?

So when we look upon the mess that we live in,
Consider it,
Who's trying to save this world,
Who's manipulated by it?

Icing Me Out
It doesn't matter what I say,
You won't read it anyways.
But you don't hurt me,
You make me happy.
What makes me unhappy isn't you,
It's when you push me away,
Please stop icing me out.
I can't be everything,
I can't be major general Truth,
So I'm sorry I destroyed it,
I'm sorry I turned my back on the people who read me through,
I think I would disappoint,
The people who inspired me,
If they saw the spires burning,
With the match laying in my hand.

How The World Burns
I'll show you how the world burns,

It comes in simply steps,

An effigy,
An idea to hold on to,
A sacred symbol,

A **** good convincer.
Something lurks in the forest of veils,
A place far from the war,
Which 'we' prevail.

A ripple of unrest,
Within the blankets of truth,
Hanging in the dripping branches.

What is a which hunt, without a lie,
One to convince us were doing good for 'us,'
A blatant killer,

Is among us.
Now I stand between sides, thinking, who was really correct?
The choking vines of the wine yard,
Wrap around the souls of the somber.
Staring off into space,
While a chemical feeling seals their fate.

Do they feel happy yet?
Something more than the happiness they lost,
Was it right, to push love away?

In replacement they have a craving,
A welcomed feeling of demanding.
Their kisses curdle into bites,
Ripping chunks out of who they love,
Tearing holes into their head.
Many of my family suffers from this, at least some have the dignity to admit it.

Don't Follow Through
Are you really doing it this time?
This time, are you really going to leave me,
Because I need someone who deserves me,
Who treats me better than you.

I don't want that,
I doubt you do either.
Please don't follow through,

I need you.
My love has been saying that I need someone better than her recently,
I can't tell if she's trying to get away or really trying to push me into a better place.
Though I don't think there' a better place than her

Art We Cherish
We must carry great faith in our young writers,
I must carry great faith in me,
Carry great faith in he, they, she,
Who?
Those who will inherit the art we cherish,
Keep it close, stringing together what emotions were lost,
We know the real cost.
Hold fast to your faith in the upcoming generation of poets.
We'll keep it incredible

Rainy Days With You
Rainy days are about as good as any,
It's a little gray and dreary,
But I love the sound of trickling drops.

She does too,

I love the rain,
When I'm with you.
I always get frustrated when I get soaked on a Friday morning, but my love reminds me how I love to dance in it.

My Person
You make me cry,
In a good way.

I've never felt anything like this before,
Cradled in your loving arms,
Don't need therapy.

The time we spend together,
Is better.
She makes me so happy that I shed tears
I hope I didn't soak her arms

My Home Is You
I want to drown in you,
To dip my face in your waters,
Rapid or smooth.
To know the parts of you,
Nobody else ever could,
I need to feel you.
Your fingers like tear drops,
Running down my face,
Left deep in a loving haze.
So can we come together,
Ignore all the things that push between us,
Your name ends with my favorite place,
The sea.

Your name ends with home,
My home is you.
She is love
I apologize to those who were wrongly laid to rest,
To any graves where blood is still wet.
I respect those who survived,
Even in the face of adversity.

Tentative Peace
It seems you lie to yourself,
Building up a fake world to fall back on.
Though, even if you do,
You at least have some level of dignity.
For if you brought these people here,
Only to rile things up,
You're disgusting.

Sometimes, you disgust me.

If anything,
I am as much as a hunter of evil as you.
Although I am no kingmaker,
No kingdom taker.
Ask yourself,
Did you fix a problem?
Or replace it.

Because in the face of paradise,
You disgrace it.
I doubt this will ever be the Eden it was again
An outdated rule,
So many written by fools.
Once again,
A familiar attempt to suppress.
When power is weakly held,
Those who could claim it,
Are weakened.
Yet, no hand keeps down the spirit,
No chain nor cell.
What we long for,
We shall have.
In the face of desecration,
Flames must rise,
From the ashes of the Absolutarian.
Inspired by the works of Igor Vykhovanets, one of my favorite HP poets.

Somethings Are Golden
Somethings are just golden,
Even if gold doesn't stay,
Somethings don't fade away.

I am brave.

Disturbing The Dead
Have we not learned our lesson about disturbing the dead?
If it's over, let it be over.
Don't dip a blade in the dusts of doom,

You shant start this battle up again.
Let ancient troubles rest in peace,

An Okay Day I Am
When the dusky husky twilight descends,
I think of who I am.

Each night my opinion changes,

Sometimes I'm a shiny white suit,
Elegance.

Often though,
I'm a lumpy sack of coal,
A big burden,
Such a terrible person/thing.

But I think for now I've decided,
I'm okay.
Nothing special,
A warm summer day,
Something normal,
You treasure anyways.

Religious Reassurance
Man craves reassurance,
I am nothing different to that.
We assemble groups of people to agree with us,
That the light doesn't just go out.
As if life were a dying lightbulb,
On an old lamp.
The kind that sits on my grandparents coffee table,
My family doesn't worship a symbol or God,
Will the light go out on them?
I believe in the man named God,
But we do not often talk,
My prayers are crude and unrefined.
Is that enough,
To keep the light on,
For a little long?
I fear not,
We will weep,
Becoming brittle.
People mourning shatter into shards,
For them, death is too far,
For them,
Death is the final friend.
