Desperately

Downcast breath,
one as before death.
Raised head,
kept tears from being shed.
Sewed lips,
silently weeps.

Entranced with sealed lips.
Whim like bubbles pouring out.
A muted unmute.

Entranced

Bask me in your golden light.
Somersault me with such a beautiful sight.
Lull me with your calm waves.
I refuse to wake; I can’t be saved.

Adieu

Sky’s lament echoes.
Raindrops conceal one’s sorrow.
Mums down the burrow.

I wished for light,
I was given darkness.
I called forth warmth,
Welcomed by coldness.
I prayed for death,
It was granted.

When we locked eyes,
I saw sparks and butterflies.
Heard the bell chime
With a deafening beep, you bid goodbye.

She stretched her wings out.
Heartened! Nature called her forth.
A thoughtless coward.
Quiescent, she’s nothing but...
Stuck in an open gold cage.
