I flinch at the sound
of a hand striking skin
because I know your name.
I shy away from raised, angry voices
because I know your name.
I learn to lie easily
because truth doesn't know your name.
I feel dread appear
in the pit of my stomach
the second you walk in
because I know your name.
and because I know your name
and everything bad associated with it
I
Know
You
We've all been through thick.
We've all been through thin.
We've all been to the light
And back to the dark again.

Every day is a struggle.
Every day may be a new fight.
Every day may be a game,
And every day may leave a new scar.

But never forget that every day is new.
Every day is an adventure waiting for you

I had a piggy bank when I was young
Cheap, easy to break
It cracked once,
But my dad could fix it
He could always fix it
He sealed it up to look brand new
Eventually it was thrown out
It was too broken,
Couldn’t be fixed

I’m the piggy bank
So many cracks that are just sealed shut
But glue doesn’t always hold
Sometimes things creep through the cracks
I’ve been fixed,
But never enough
People only see the outside
They don’t see the breaks
Ones that have been hidden
When will I get to the point,
When I’m just not worth fixing?
If humans had no emotions,

poetry wouldn't have existed.

I’m lonely but it’s fine
My cycle of friends is minute
Loners are explorers

If I were a snail, I would stay in my shell as long as I could
If I were the only tree in the forest, I would sit on my root forever
And if I could live in a distinct planet, I would stay till my last breath is taken

In solitude embrace I find my voice
I don’t care about the outside noise
I gain my poise in solitude so I rejoice

Privacy is my sanctuary because peace is guaranteed
My unknown strength unfolds like flowers sowing seeds
The silence and solitary nature of my safe keeps me alive
Now make a move and do what protects your peace
Someday you will cry for me
Like I cried for you.
Someday you'll miss me
Like I missed you.
Someday you'll need me
Like I needed you.
Someday you'll love me,
But I won't love you.
Sometimes we need to slow our pace
To breathe, to find a quieter space.
To feel the sun in gentle grace
And watch the leaves drift from their place.

Sometimes we're lost, unsure, undone
But all we need is lift our eyes to sun.
She shines so high, her warmth so near
Like moonlight soft when night draws near.

In every shadow, light will hide
In every storm, the tides subside.
So take a breath, let peace abide
Everything will turn, be still inside.
I want you to be reminded with this poem that it's ok to slow down, breathe, and find peace in nature’s quiet moments. A gentle hope through imagery of sunlight and moonlight, assuring that even in uncertainty, stillness will guide us back to clarity.
Why is it only when we cry
When we feel in despair
That our life is broken
Beyond repair
That we cannot be fixed

That with open heart
We finally turn to God
Hands full of broken parts
That we can finally say
I am so sorry, dear God

Can you please help me
