Bright orange
partially shaded by blue
Almost hidden by the shade
Hanging in the dark sky
All the mystery and promise
of something great.
Just a time to rest.
But the linger, the pause.
A wish of more.

the sky leaves traces of light on my skin
the lunar plexus is singing
I'm receiving these images from the future
the missing steps of memory come between  us
do not touch this fiery boundary cause you might
melt me down into a sweet oblivion
it's impossible not to love you from this edge
of a palimpsest full of wonder

when nicotine had me in its unforgiving relentless expensive grip

You’d trot up to me like an aged horse
our pasture matted down by our footprints
I’d ask you the same advice I always do
You don’t reply, that’s never the issue

They get jealous and insecure, but you’re nothing more than an old friend

Gentle syncopated breeze in the trees
Remembering your family giving you a hale and hearty farewell
Your infant great-granddaughter, great-grandson, grandchildren and children hurt and annoyed about the damage Covid start and brought you to an end
