Soaring towards you, my fundamental force.
Waves never crashed as hard as I, into you.
Singing your soul-song into chambers of me.

This is one thing I never expected to change me.
You’ve shown me that a beaming stranger
Can truly be my angel.

Your wings, my chariot.

My world, your marionette.

Enchantress of the ever-north,
Summon me from slumber.
Pull me through your window into wonder.

You hold on to me for the first time.
I live this moment like it were our last.
I love our moon for bringing me to your path 🌙

I know how painful it all starts.

I know how numb you’ve become.

I know how lonely you can feel.

I know you struggle to trust anything or anyone.

I know you’re scared it’s permanent.

And because I also know how wonderful it is
Now being on the other side,
Having dreaded it’s not possible;
Every single day for as long as it takes,
Draw light from me. I’ll help you through!
Over horizons, you’re unfolding. Standing tall at
Noon in full bloom as you face me.
I’ll always be your Sunlight ☀️
As you are my Sunflower 🌻

Words dance in and out of us at first light.
You bring new life through old wires and waves. Mourning new absence; old morning’s absinth.
How do we crave what we’ve never known?

If I could reinvent this universal game
In any way I choose,
I’d remake it all just the same
To find my way to you.
For taking away one single blink
Could reinvent the way we think.
Yet the thought of you has only been outshone
By my learning you’re truly even greater.
Take me through the tides of your life.
I’ll hold you up when you struggle to swim.
Above the surface, where you see white wash,
I’ll shower your body in turquoise sunshine.
Down below, where you shiver with pressure,
I’ll warm you up until you shimmer in pleasure.

You asked me two questions that evening.
To know you thought of me there,
Among grief without end,
Where there’s ever more room for bleeding…
It’s enough.

I don’t know how the world never showed you,
Every cell you’re dividing is heaven deciding
No hell could hide this one truth;
You’re enough.

So, it’s my turn to show you, before we get old.
What I know we all owe you. To have & to hold.
I’ll catch every red raindrop as proof.
They’re enough.

Endgame. You raise your shield to ward off love.
I fall to crimson swords. We’ll replay until we win.
We’re enough!

4 feet between us.
Yours are shaking.
Impossible for me to know if it’s me
Or the day ahead that has you unnerved.
I wish it was me for every right reason,
But maybe it’s all for the wrong.

It’s my turn to shake now. Thump thump thump.
Lips that know no parting. Thump thump.
Tongue taut without any talk. Thump.

Wait!
Why are we in a suburb thieves wear in winter?
My resolve starts to splinter. Entropy enters me.
Every eternity pushes me to ask you.

I caught all the signs, but never your name.

She’ll shock you with a new shell shock.

We’re not even a week on
From when I looked up and saw your solar flare.
I was desperately trying not to stare.
It’s a bad habit of mine I’m learning to lose.
I’ve been called out on it before.

So, though I hid my gaze from your glimmer,
I find comfort in the familiar. And when I see you,
I see stars! There’s nothing I’ve known longer.

Though I have no way in this mind’s eye
To render anew your wonder,
I’d tear through planes of space and time
To reconstruct your quanta.

Give me another splinter of your splendour.
You set my heart ablaze in winter. Can I return
The favour? Just as the moon summons the sea,
I’m endlessly drawn to thee.

As it cuts in and out,
I long to be a little nearer to you.
Maybe then it would all make sense.

Instead I’m here trying to understand
Why you haven’t yet vanished.
What does it all mean?

Your words weave in and out of my intrigue.
Your lips escape my line of sight.
But the light that flickers in you before midnight
Brings a joy to this world I would never envy.
If I’m green, it’s for new eyes that could end me.

I entered into a well I haven’t been in for years.
The three wishes I made there
Would make you tear out your own hair.
Nevertheless, in the moments that followed,
Dark became day and you drew me in deeper.
