My imaginary life
tells my body
to sit still

My body
has other
imaginings
Dennis Willis Apr 11
The rain passed me by
muttering
leaving naught but
blue sky
and sunshine
to gouge out
my eye
i hate to farm
my misgivings

but they are
so fruitful

i told you so's
r blooming

spectacularly
with cherished

recriminations
sprouting sprigs

right next to my
blue renege's

i pretend
i never knew

were there
in my garden

and worse things
i wont say

scare my **
away
Words wash up
on me
Sounds towel off
i hear
Things juxtapose
themselves
What would you do
i gasp
at the temerity
beaching itself
while i
race by

do instigate
something
they say

I just
write on
it
What do you think
when your brain
is filled with ink

un-spilled and
repeatedly
and often refilled

and your thoughts
are ought's and
naught unsought

oh i am wrought
to choose which thunk
to call a thought

reason Faught
and knowing flunks
having praised a skunk
When was
the last time
I paid water

enveloping
water

I'd like
to make you
wet

Some dry things
like me
poetry-ing on

divining for
splashes back
sprinkles even

or most
dreamed of
a tear
Written on the back of my water bill envelope
I don't have time
to slow down
let me repeat

Making seconds
flavorful
chef

of right now
and i mean
to mean

something and
that's
pernicious

whilst surfing
momentous
achievements

albeit frivolously
with assonance
and discernment
