I read your writings
You said “God was a woman,
But she was not mine.”
And when they say; “my God”
I did not know we were speaking
Of property
Of ownership
Are they truly a God
If they belong

Will you not tell me
Of your longing instead
Not of your wishes
For her to open her pearly gates
I know you tasted heaven once
I know you licked golden honey
From the fountain of life

It seems you will always thirst
For the juice, of forbidden fruit

Parasite to my peace
Shadow man
Sinking his teeth
Into my solid living
He is liquid in memory
I, semi-permeable in my strength
Do not let me slip
Pull me from the edge

Little yellow birds
Greet my window this morning
Lovely beginnings.

I can’t decide
if I’m comforted by the fact
that every thought
I’ve ever had
has probably been had
before

And I don’t know
which is worse
That we are, perhaps
incredibly,
undeniably
not special at all
Or that we incredibly,
undeniably
are

There's no way that I could fight
these temptations, taking my life
It's embracing me
until I couldn't breathe
Stealing the joy only You can give

I am weak in my natural ways
If not guided,
I'll be blurred as haze
Surround me with Your love and power
I can't do this alone,
I need You to take over

I know it was nothing
until you appeared one evening
You were waiting for me while raining
I ran to you like I was longing

You flashed an unforgettable smile
You hugged me tight for a while
Your warmth feels like home
I don’t want to let go

To grasp that moment is all I can do
Because I know when I open eyes
You will disappear out of the blue
Hi, I dreamed about you.

The wind’s soft melody
Tearing through the landscape.
Gently brushing my knee
And roaring in my ear.

The silent drop of a windswept tear,
The call to a motion all too clear.
A storm throughout our minds
Tearing at our walls like rinds.

The silent beauty
And the harsh cruelty
This is the duality of a tempest.
I don’t think this turned out how I originally planned but that’s alright

If this is a dream
Truly, why are there so many hallways
I am forever wandering
In between the inbetween
It seems I will never reach the end
If there is an end to reach

I cannot ask for love
But the question sits
Like a loaded gun

As the final wisps of daylight fade
Your eyes become so clear
And the dimly burning streetlights
Become the silent starlight,
Lighting our lover’s path dear.
