Pretty blue forget me nots,
I never knew your name,
I never knew your meaning
but I liked you all the same.
looks don't matter but aren't these blue things pretty

take care not to abandon me,
the blue things whispered as they fell apart in the terrible fog of forgotten memories.

When you are a musician
you have every songbird and melody.
When you are a philosopher
you have every question like clockwork.
When you are an artist
you hold every delicate stride and stroke in your soul.
When you are a poet
you have every avidity with words.

When you are a person,
what do you have?

"...☀...."
When the burning sun,
Taking fragrance from the jewels,
Including rays from the earth's,
Seeing himself in the rivers,
From the crest of the summit,
Hiding behind,
So I'll always sleep...
#thought #reason #sun #sleep
If the sun (my dreams) was always going down, there's no reason to wake up...,
Tell me a dark shadow before a long night can win the battle until a new sunrise...!

sometimes i want to burn things
to see them dance with the fire
two partners, fighting for an infinite second
in the brick fireplace of a temporary being.

then they are gone, turned to ashes
the fire burns itself out.
that dance, so beautiful, so inevitable
only lasted a second
before the dancers had places to be

encore, encore
and get another piece of scrap paper
and light another match.

oh, to be the fire
primitive and swirling.
but no.

i'll just have to watch.

O little cloud,
where have you gone?
You sink to wisp or worse.
Your grayness turns bone-white,
then a cancerous blue
until you are nothing -
no, you are nothing now.
Your grave is the air
that I breathe.

I sharply decline with you;
you, up in your vault,
waiting for the densities
that will crease you into rain,
I in my mug-clutter,
my liquor-ploughed
library of ills,
try to cope,
come to grips.

Little cloud,
you died a long time ago.
You were reborn,
& died again. You've died
so many wet deaths.
I understand.
This is no world
to live in more
than a day or two.

Marry a poet--
she'll tell you the universe in a sonnet.
She expresses her affection in a poem,
for endlessly, to a bard;
you are an anthem.
