Under the orange
street lights
it's 3am

Longing to find him,
she skulks alone
in the dark

And as London sleeps
her cries go unheard
by all but one
The other night, I woke up to the calls
of a red fox outside of my window. They sounded

two words I wish I never knew.
oh, why'd I have to learn?
without these words,
the world might shake.
but, that's a risk I'd like to take.

two words I wish I never knew.
oh, why'd I have to learn?
please tell me why
I have to feel.
they are just words, they are not real.

two words I wish I never knew.
oh, why'd I have to learn?
love is one
and hate is two.
without these words, would you be you?

two words I wish I never knew.
oh, why'd I have to learn?
I promise you,
I'd feel the same
without a word, a phrase, a name.

two words I wish I never knew.
oh why'd I have to learn?
if there were no
love or hate,
would you still call us fate?

**two words I wish I never knew.
oh, why'd I have to learn?
without these words,
we could exist.
those two words would not be missed.

There once was a man called Einstein
Who'd think all the time of sunshine
Some thought it a waste
Though he proved his case
And redefined time as divine
First lymric just trying different structures  fun stuff

Trepid, on the edge, I stand
The sky lies below,
Wonder if I'd land
Were I to fall into the hole

Mad mendacity orders light
For monarchs beat my guts
Stars grace my sight!
Though void ever dark

Sugar n' milk barren way
My bitter volition vies
Not to dawn my doomsday,
But vanquish the lord flies

Sudden slip and sudden fall!
Ambivalence catch my hand
I see his strength begins to stall
And look toward the expanse

Soon to be the sky I fly
What waits I cannot know
I flash a smile n'war cry
Then plunge into the hole
Any comments appreciated

On I walk a winding road
choked by thicket on both sides,
A lonesome path seldom strolled
but for a raven eyed

Sky dyes to red,
plagued by smothered light
The Vagrant seems to emanate
never within sight,
He follows in my gait
as fright blooms into night,...

On we walk the winding road
feet fall stride for stride,
The Ravens cries do not bode
well of what will betide
The Wanderer begins to goad
a creeping suicide,

It matters not, what cycles rot
nor incubus I sheath,
His laughters in my very thoughts
The echoes raze beneath

On I walk the winding road
Only one, I stand
The Raven flies overhead
we walk it hand in hand

The Raven wasn't taken from Poe it was in the picture prompt
